1.1 Warranty Terms
Turner Hastings ensures that all of its products are made using the highest quality materials and workmanship. Should you find a fault with either the materials or the workmanship within their warranty period noted below, Turner Hastings will, at its discretion, repair or supply a replacement for the faulty product or component.

1.2 Warranty Details - All Products
• 1 year parts and labour. Any claim made after this period is for parts only
• 1 year warranty applies to commercial installations
• All water pipes must be flushed priorto connecting tapware or toilets to the supply
• Maximum water pressure cannot exceed 500Kpa - AS/NZS 3500.1.-2003 (Clause3.3.4) specifies 500kPa maximum watersupply pressure at any outlet within abuilding for new installations
• 1 year warranty applies to allelectroplated or sprayed finishes otherthan chrome on any brass or stainlesssteel tapware, accessories, waste outletsand bottle traps. Electroplated finishes onwastes are excluded from the warranty.
• 1 year warranty applies to washers, “O”rings, lip and other seals, shower hosesand all pull out sink mixer hoses andhandsets.
• Fireclay, Ceramic and Vitreous China are natural products and therefore subject to variations. This should be seen as a quality that adds to its natural beauty. Variations +/- 2% to the specifications are common and acceptable.
Product must be inspected before installation! If a product has any unacceptable marks or has been damaged, DO NOT install it. Should faulty or damaged products be installed, Turner Hastings will not accept any obligation to provide labour for removal or replacement of the product.
Turner Hastings Product Warranty will only apply where the product has been installed by a qualified tradesman and in full accordance with installation instructions. This warranty does not cover damage by improper installation, accident, misuse, abuse, negligence, excessive wear and tear, improper care and maintenance, water and natural causes such as sunlight, humidity and other environmental conditions. All installation works should be carried out by a Licensed tradesman according to the Plumbing and Drainage Code of Practice and the requirements of any relevant Statutory body. Installations must be carried out strictly in accordance with the installation instructions provided with each of Turner Hastings’ products. Turner Hastings makes every effort to supply our clients with outstanding quality products. We can in no way be held responsible for any damages arising from failure due to the method the product was installed or commissioned.
Replacement products and parts must be delivered to the original store of purchase for WHS compliance.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonable foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
1.3 Warranty Details - Under Counter Basins
A waterproof sealant should be used to help seal the basin and fill the gap between the basin and vanity bench. Do not use epoxy type glues – these glues harden and prevent the expansion and contraction of the basin which can lead to the basin cracking. The use of epoxy glues will void this warranty.
1.4 Warranty Details - Fine Fireclay Sinks
Fireclay is a natural product and therefore subject to variations. This should be seen as a quality that adds to its natural beauty. Variations +/- 2% to the specifications are common and acceptable. Never cut out or construct your bench top or kitchen cabinetry without having the sink onsite with you for measurements. If cabinetry or bench tops have been cut without the sink being measured, and the sink does not fit, Turner Hastings will not cover any costs of replacing or modifying any cabinetry or bench tops.
Most are designed with little gradation and standing water is common. Standing water is not a reason for return.
Do not over-tighten the waste as this can cause the sink to develop stress fractures over time.

Your new fireclay sink may have a small crack or chip in an unglazed position such as the underside (in a place not seen after install). Small cracks and chips is not a manufacturing fault or defect, and in fact is common in ceramic, fine fireclay and other natural clay fired products. The cracks or chips is what is called a “firing crack”, and it happens when the clay is baked in the oven during manufacturing, and is part of the heating and cooling process. The crack or chip is simply aesthetic only, and will not affect the installation, structure, or usability of the sink. The crack or chip will not grow over time either. This product still carries the full 6 year warranty Turner Hastings provides on fireclay sinks.
1.5 Warranty Details - Toilets
A toilet seat which comes loose with a toilet seat which comes loose withcontinued use is not covered by warranty,it is the responsibility of the installer toensure the seat is installed correctly oninstallation. Furthermore, all seats undernormal usage have a tendency to loosen,it is the responsibility of the owner totighten seats periodically with the correctsized screwdriver (do not use apower drill).
1.6 Warranty Details - Vanities
Vanities are manufactured using water resistant materials. This does not mean that they are waterproof. Care must be taken to immediately dry up any spillage or leakage that may gain access to the cabinet as WATER DAMAGE is not a justifiable claim. Cleaning and maintenance instructions must be followed to ensure validity of warranty.
Adjustment on parts such as drawers and doors are undertaken during manufacture, but will most likely require fine adjustments after installation.
1.7 Warranty Details – Marble Tops
All stone and marble products are pre-sealed at the factory, and carry a 3 year guarantee against manufacturing defects. This does not guarantee against staining or discolouration.
1.8 Warranty Details - Lifetime Warranty
Turner Hastings offer Lifetime warranty on certain product ranges. Turner Hastings definition of a lifetime warranty is: whilst the consumer who purchased the product has possession of the product and has proof of purchase, Turner Hastings will repair or replace product or parts that are faulty due to a manufacturing defect. This does not cover general wear and tear or other exceptions detailed on this warranty page. Replacement labour costs are only covered in the first 12 months, like all of our warranties.

2.1 Care Information - Fine Fireclay and Ceramic Wash Basins
Use a mild household detergent or warm soapy water and clean with a soft cloth.
2.2 Care Information - Marble Tops
Our marble surfaces are sealed with ahigh quality natural stone sealer at thefactory which will protect it from staining.However, you should arrange to have yourbench top resealed approximately every2-4 years. This depends on the amountof use of the stone. For example, kitchensrequire 1-2 years resealing, but kitchensbenches are much more high use thanbathroom vanities, so bathroom vanitiesonly require it every 2 – 4 years. Thesealer we recommend is the market leaderLithofin MN Stain-Stop.
As with any product, clean regularly. Mostcommon household cleaning productsare safe to use, such as non-alkalinecleaning products, mild house detergentswith warm water, glass cleaning productsand any non-abrasive household cleaner.Wipe with fresh water after cleaning. Wipethe surface dry with a soft dry cloth aftercleaning.
DO NOT use abrasive cleaners. If spills dooccur, wipe immediately quickly with freshwater. DO NOT use oil-based cleaners, i.e.turps, kerosene etc. Avoid exposing stonebench tops to chemicals or acidic liquidssuch as oven cleaners, oil, paint removers,or fruit juices.
While natural marble will provide alifetime of use, the material is inherentlybrittle, and you should avoid sitting orstanding on these surfaces since anyuneven substrate or base can causecracking.
Do not use your counter top as a cuttingboard. This can cause permanent deepscratching. Avoid dropping heavy orsharp objects on the bench top as chipsand cracks cannot easily be repaired.The placing of hot items such as hairstraighteners directly to the bench topshould be avoided.
2.3 Care Information - Fine Fireclay Sinks
Use a mild household detergent or warm soapy water and clean with a soft cloth. The surface can be susceptible to damage from sharp or metallic objects such as metal cutlery. Try to avoid metal objects coming in contact with the surface by using protective drainers and cutlery holders. Please do not over-tighten any fittings as this may cause the surface of your ceramic sink to crack
2.4 Care Information - Tapware & Accessories
Use a mild household detergent or warm soapy water and clean with a soft cloth. It is important that no abrasive cleaners are used, as these will remove the surface gloss of the product.
2.5 Care Information - Electroplated Metal Finishes
The hardest metal finish is chrome and all others are considered soft decorative finishes. The lacquers help to prevent fingerprints & tarnishing but they are only lacquers and need to be treated carefully. Our Metal Finishers apply a 2 pac clear automotive lacquer and should be treated as thus. Clean with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Avoid any harsh abrasives, thinners & glass cleaners. Best cleaning is Mineral Turpentine.
2.6 Care Information - Toilet Seats
The best method of maintaining the finish while ensuring the cleanliness of toilet seats is simply to wipe them over with a soft cloth with soapy water. It is important that no abrasive cleaners are used, as these will remove the surface gloss of the product. At regular intervals the tightness of the hinge bolts should be checked, as continual loosening over time does occur.
2.7 Care Information - Acrylic Baths
To preserve the polished surface, after using your bath, clean with a soft cloth and warm soapy water to wash away any body oils or soap residue. Do not use powders, pastes, thinners, window cleaning sprays or dry cleaning liquid.

What happens after form submission
Upon receipt of service request form Turner Hastings will apply an After Sales & Service number for this service (an AS&S... number will be assigned).
The customer will then be contacted and a description of the issue will be requested.
Service Call Charges
Should Turner Hastings attend a service call and it be found that a product has been incorrectly installed, the customer will be advised that a service charge will be incurred. In some cases, prior to the service call being arranged, Turner Hastings will request the customer’s credit card details. This will occur only when, in Turner Hastings opinion, the call out is the result of faulty installation.
This will be a minimum charge of $132.00. The charge covers a call out fee and the first 30 minutes of labour. After that time the service rate becomes $66.00 per 30 minutes.
Should the product indeed be faulty there will be no charge to the customer.
