BACKGROUND
When Tim and Karin Abrams decided to renovate their house, they were intent to recreate a “Federation feel” to reflect many of the homes in early Beecroft.
The majority of early houses in Sydney prevalent from around 1890 to 1915, were brick Federation-style homes. “Authenticity to the characteristic charm of the Edwardian period was essential in our design plans”
“To this end researching records and visiting old suburbs was essential to “get it right “ from ornate sub floor vents to ceiling cornices and rose centre pieces and heritage fittings.” said Tim. The graceful result was well worth the time and effort.
The Coventry 120 and Coventry 90 bathroom vanities supplied by Turner Hastings ensured the traditional federation look extended into the interior as the style of the Coventry vanity is well suited to a Hamptons bathroom or a traditional bathroom. The shaker panels on the cabinetry, and the choice between black, chrome or antique brass knobs allows you to tailor your Coventry vanity to the style and period of your home. The genuine Carrara marble top has natural variations in colour and pattern which are characteristics that add to the beauty and charm of the Coventry vanity.
