BACKGROUND
This kitchen showcases a transition from modern to classic elements, elegantly combined through a refined colour palette and pared-back features. The contemporary-country styled cabinetry works splendidly in the cottage home.

The deep blue shaker-style cabinetry and vertical lining board panels are two timeless elements that work together in harmony with the more modern components, including the square-edged benchtop and pared-back mantle.

A Turner Hastings Novi sink was selected to enhance the vertical lines of the back panel and fit in perfectly with the modern classic feel of the kitchen. The client was mindful that they spend a significant amount of time at their sink and wanted something durable, practical in size and fitting with the design.

The adjoining study was reconfigured into a butler’s pantry to create the new highly functional pantry, complete with a matching benchtop and splashback.

A balance of open shelves and cupboards has been incorporated, providing generous storage for the family.

A beautiful farmhouse sink ties the country-home feel together, placed close to the cooktop per the client’s request for a smaller everyday workspace.
